Day 1Arrive Cochin – Munnar (~140 km, ~4 hrs)

Pickup from Cochin airport or railway station and drive to Munnar, the former summer retreat of the British, with endless tea gardens and misty hills. Stop at the Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls on the way. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 2Munnar sightseeing

Visit Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, Echo Point and the tea plantations. In the afternoon, visit Eravikulam National Park, home of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Optional evening visit to the Blossom Park and Tea Museum. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 3Munnar – Alleppey houseboat

Drive to Alleppey. By noon, check in to your private houseboat and cruise through Kerala's legendary backwaters, past villages, paddy fields and canals. Welcome drink, lunch, evening tea with snacks, dinner and breakfast are served on board. Overnight on the houseboat.

Day 4Alleppey – Cochin – Home

After breakfast, check out of the houseboat and drop at Cochin airport or railway station for your journey home.

Good to know

During the Deepavali and Christmas season, package prices are 30% higher than the rates shown.
Houseboat check-in is 12 noon and check-out 9 am; cruising is from about 12 noon to 5 pm, and the bedroom AC runs from 9 pm to 6 am.
Hotels in hill stations such as Munnar and Thekkady usually have non-AC rooms, as the weather is cool all year.
Eravikulam National Park usually closes for the Nilgiri Tahr calving season (around February to March).
Kerala temples such as Guruvayur and Padmanabhaswamy have a strict dress code (dhoti for men, saree or salwar for women), and some allow only Hindus inside.
Prices may change during holidays, festivals and peak season.
Sightseeing depends on arrival and departure timings and weather conditions.
